Not only are we happy with the performance of our products, it brings us satisfaction that we are producing sustainable products that don’t end up in landfill after being used for a few months. We understand that there is a big consumer shift towards purchasing fewer but higher quality products in order to contribute less waste and get better long-term value.
From 01 March 2025, the Red Dingo range of nylon and fabric collars, leads, harnesses and coats will carry a 5-year guarantee. This guarantee will be displayed on packaging and point of sale to assure distributors, retailers and consumers that they are purchasing a quality product.
How does it work?
Our guarantee process will be based on trust that consumers are making a legitimate claim. A consumer must return to the original place of purchase, with proof of purchase, for a claim to be assessed. The retailer has discretion to make their own decision if the claim is legitimate or not.
- The guarantee covers manufacturing defects or unsatisfactory product performance under regular conditions.
- Our guarantee does not cover products that have been chewed, misused, or intentionally damaged, customer change of mind or wrong sizing.
Retailers must claim a credit from their wholesaler/distributor at their purchase price. Distributors must file for a credit with Red Dingo at their purchase price.
Questions & Answers
What does the 5 Year Guarantee cover?
Red Dingo guarantees that our products will be free of materials and manufacturing defects and remain functional for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase. This guarantee does not cover improper use, general wear and tear, or chewed products.
How is a claim processed?
A consumer must take the product to the original place of purchase for assessment, with their proof of purchase. If the retailer accepts the claim, they provide the customer with a refund. The retailer then claims a credit from the distributor at the wholesale price. The distributor then claims a credit from Red Dingo at the distributor price.
When will packaging changeover?
Orders received from February will receive our updated packaging with the 5 Year Guarantee and new harness packaging

The following products are excluded from our 5 Year Guarantee:
